The Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department is composed of both career and volunteer professionals providing fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to residents and visitors of Stafford County. Over three hundred firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics staff fire and EMS stations across the county’s 277 square miles. Nine volunteer fire companies and four volunteer rescue squads provide valuable service to the county and are an integral part of the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department. Operating out of fifteen stations, our career and volunteer force works 24 hours a day, seven days a week responding to over 13,000 calls for service annually.

We are always looking for dedicated and compassionate volunteers to serve as firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics.
